Charcoal on paper; 2013

Drawing allows me to develop a subjective relationship to the patterns I have used in my sculptural work.  Patterns from antique wallpapers are combined to simultaneously occupy the space of the drawing.  Details such as water stains help to reconfigure the composition with equivalent concern; pattern and visible history of use are given equal weight.
